Proudest Commissions
Living Room
Timeless
The homeowner's taste is timeless. It is reflected throughout in the furnishings, the art, and the accessories. The result is a place of balance and beauty, in harmony with its surroundings.
Kitchen
Fresh and light
The seed pearl painted cabinetry and white marble countertops balance the walnut plank hardwood floors and porcelain blue accents
Study
Striking
The study features a yummy navy grasscloth wallpaper. It's texture and richness of color is striking.
Powder Bath
Adorable
The powder bath offers an updated toile in an adorable silhouette, which juxtaposes nicely with the adjoining laundry room.
Study Wallpaper
Sophisticated
A creative blend of textured grass cloth wallpaper and a vintage tole lamp were layered into the existing design, expertly showcasing the old while incorporating the new.
Highrise Condo
This Chicago loft was a plain vanilla when I arrived. The area needed a shot in the arm of color and texture while remaining functional for the inhabitants. The round dining table is a more intimate set up than the traditional rectangle. The caster chairs roll easily to pivot the occupant's view of the room. The burl wood bar cabinet is a classy touch to pull the elements of the room together.
The white cabinets made for a clean and fresh backdrop to build a colorful layer of décor elements in the kitchen. The final result exceeded the clients’ expectations and has become a design focal point.
The clients wanted a comfortable, elegant area for the great room. This was done through the clever use of stylish furnishings and the innovative use of form and color, which dramatically transformed the space.
This darling peacock wallpaper was sourced from an "indie" designer in Sweden. The homeowner's just loved how it dressed up their powder bath. Custom embroidered towels were added to up the "wow" factor.
The Island is a colorful oasis on a ground of white quartz. Ochre, Navy and Gold meet up with a fresh-look floral to keep things light.
Cocktails anyone? This custom cocktail ottoman comes in many colors while distinctive shape adds personality to the space.
This nook wall needed a bit of color and activity. The Cypress Tree anchors and the two giclees add the color. The fish adds a touch of whimsy to the scene.
The blues, greys, golds of the Master Bedroom continue the color way through the home. The contemporary art over the British West Indies style bed updated in a charcoal grey sheen and side chests with black agate knobs were just the right mixture of qenres.
The guest bedroom in bright blue and white is a welcoming and inviting space for company, and solids with paisley never disappoint.
Organic elements in this bedroom consist of quill and feather inspired bedding, seagrass headboard, copper and iron bedside table and an authentic tribal JuJu hat from Cameroon, The Congo Africa. It was such fun sourcing the accessories for this space.
Design boards help the client envision the project outcome.
Clients often appreciate a design board to help "see" the project.
Having an idea what your project will look like is possible with a design color board.
Orange and Blue is an on trend color combination.
Blush, grey and creme' are a calming and current color trend.
Greens, Ochre and grey are a fresh color choice for home.

Modern Glam
The use of stylish furnishings in dramatic colors took this space to new heights.
Contemporary Rustic
Expertly blending the look of old while layering in the contemporary accents creates a harmony in this vignette.
Renderings/Sketches
Before and After Photos
The clients’ vision and taste are the guiding points of every project that Picture Perfect Interiors undertakes. Spend some time looking at their previous work to see some of their most inspiring projects.
Art Deco Lambrequin rendering
Understated Elegance
It provides a level of comfort when the client can "envision" a project. Renderings and sketches are assistive tools in that goal.
Lambrequin Completed
Sublime
The lighting doesn't do it justice. The client was pleased with how closely this resembled the rendering.
Great Room Niche
Elegant and Inviting
This rendering provided quite a bit of detail for the client to envision a previously "blank" wall. The Travertine top console had been painted barn red in a previous life and was repainted in a champagne gold shimmer.
Completed Great Room Niche
Picture Perfect!
Changes occur in real time as evidenced by the photo above. The rendering included a rectangle mirror and we went with a round. We decided against a plant. The renderings are an important step in the process to help the client "see" and give feedback to move the design process forward.
Cafe Curtains Rendering
Putting forth the idea....
This Dining Room rendering of Cafe Curtains with valances above helped the client immensely. They were having a difficult time imagining how the room would look.
Completed Cafe Curtains
With Grace and Elegance
The clients wanted the space to retain the architecture but soften its formality. I certainly think this did the trick.
Mixed Media Wall Sketch
Advance Vision for the Client
This sketch went through many iterations. At one point there was a gilt Cypress Tree on the right side. We ended up moving it to a more prominent location in the home. Better placement for the tree, but alas I was sorry to see it go from this arrangement. That's part of the process. Things are often fluid, meaning they can move from one place to another if it makes more sense.
Completed Mixed Media Wall
Interesting and Colorful
The Mixed Media Wall was fun to put together. Mixed media means more than art can hang on the wall as long as it makes sense to the genre and colors one is working with.
Custom Pillow Sketch
Chic and Sophisticated
The client needed just a pop of color in two occasional chairs to help pull the room together. I sent her this sketch and the swatches and "Game On"!
Custom Pillow
A sophisticated dash of color
The client LOVED her custom pillow. It turned out just like the sketch and she knew what to expect and what she would be getting.
Master Bath Sketch
A Little Advance Mock-Up
The Master Bath had a blank space above the tub that needed a little something.
Master Bathroom
Such a fresh, vibrant area now
The Master Bath feels airy and fresh with just a touch of greenery mounted at varying heights to add interest.
Pinch Pleat Draperies Sketch
Simple but Elegant
This Master Bedroom has a large picture window that needed something simple, but elegant.
Completed Pinch Pleat Draperies
Linen/Gold lame' Pinch Pleats on Lucite Rods
Woven navy/gold shimmer linen Pinch Pleat Draperies with lucite rods complete this room.
Commercial Office Sketch
Subtle
The client wanted traditional draperies but with a cornice above. This sketch shows one possibility.
Completed Commercial Office Draperies
Tone on Tone Blues Cornice over Draperies
The final decision was a cornice with a slight scallop over pinch pleat draperies, both in subtle blue tone on tone textiles.

I am a retired C.P.A. I hired Susan for the interior design if our 3500 sq. ft. home. She was "on time and on budget even though there were many custom pieces....Bernhardt sectional, John Richard ottoman, Theodore Alexander and Peninsula Home chairs, window treatments and art.She mixes colors and patterns well and doesn't just take the easy road out. As part of her services, we took a trip to Dallas Market. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the new trends for the coming year. I love the fact that I can trust her implicitly to pass on her design discounts to me, as well as finding some things at better than wholesale, as she merely charges me an hourly rate. She broke the mold relative to fairness in pricing and renewed my faith in the design profession. This is, by the way my fourth house to use a designer, so I know from where I speak.Susan didn't impose her tastes on me, but incorporated my style so that the house was accurately reflected in a stylish, tasteful and cohesive way throughout.Susan provides renderings and samples of her work product and was responsive to phone calls and texts, typically within the hour. I will use her again and recommend her to family and friends.

Earlier this year I needed help to coordinate paint colors on a remodel of my duplex. After finding out my taste and the result I was seeking, Susan made recommendations. She has that designer's imaginary talent. The painters came while I was on a three week's trip. I returned to a transformed home. It went from dull to vibrant- a perfect setting for my Asian furnishings. Along the way Susan suggested (in about five minutes) a better arrangement for my Breakfast Room, a new way to show off my Oriental rug.She also helped me order Plantation Shutters, with a nice discount!Susan makes her suggestions in a way that invites discussion and seeks to make your home a reflection of you and your wishes, not hers. She is resourceful, transparent and honest in her business arrangements. To top it off she is a delightful person. This was not a big job, but it showed me a wonderful talent. Susan would be my first choice for any future design project.

Susan was the lead designer in another, large scale project for my husband and I that included the piano room, family room, master bedroom and dining room that involved custom window treatments, blinds, reupholstery of sofas, chairs and fine 19th century antique dining room furniture. When we were ready to commence a second project in a commercial office space, we thought of Susan, as she had gone out on her own. She provided renderings of her window treatment project and did blinds for us.She really listens and wants to please. She is great about returning phone calls and texts and quite fair in her pricing. I have full confidence in her abilities.

My son was getting married so my husband and I hired Susan to update our Entry, Living Room and Gathering Room. We had a specific budget to work with and she was able so with great consideration and thoughtfulness. Susan researched our plans and was able to provide us with samples of upholstery fabric, carpet and accent decor. She accompanied me on shopping trips to help with decisions on accessories and art pieces. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend her. Susan made it a wonderfully enjoyable experience. She is definitely a 5 out of 5.
